Rep. Ozinga Hosts Shred Event

MOKENA – State Representative Tim Ozinga (R-Mokena) is hosting a free shred event for 37th District constituents on Saturday, October 28th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The event is in partnership with Shark Shredding and is taking place in the Mokena Junior High parking lot, located at 19815 Kirkstone Way in Mokena.

“This shred event is a great way to protect your personal information by safely disposing of sensitive documents like old bank statements, tax documents, and receipts,” said Ozinga. “I’m happy to offer this service to constituents and look forward to a great turnout.”

Constituents are limited to three boxes of documents per vehicle and the event is limited to residential shredding. Participants are required to remain in their vehicles for safety reasons. Staff will be on hand to assist with unloading documents for shredding. While paper folders, staples, and paper clips can be fed into the shredder, large binder clips, plastic file folders, and old floppy discs cannot. Additionally, no electronics will be accepted for recycling or disposal.
