State Representative Tim Ozinga (R-Mokena) is asking constituents of District 37 to nominate small businesses for his monthly business highlights.
“As a business owner myself, I know the struggles businesses are facing in Illinois,” said Rep. Ozinga. “Small businesses are the cornerstone of our community and economy, and it’s time we did more as a state to celebrate the people who give everything to keep their businesses running.”
Starting in June, Rep. Ozinga will visit a local business once a month to spend time learning about their operations and speaking with employees. He will also present the chosen business with a certificate to commend their contributions to the community.
Rep. Ozinga continued, “While I have a great deal of firsthand experience in the business world, each business is unique, and speaking directly to owners is a great way for me to understand their particular needs. It’s my job to not only advocate for individual citizens but also for the business that call District 37 home.”
