Join the Office of State Representative Tim Ozinga for a Concealed Carry Licensing Course! This 16-hour course will be led by former marine and personal safety coach, Joe Malone.
Event Information
Day 1: July 22nd from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Day 2: July 29th from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
*Both days must be attended unless a participant is renewing a previous license or is a veteran.
Rates:
$200 per student.
$175 per student for multi-ticket purchases.
$75 for veterans.
$50 for renewals.
Location: Mokena, IL. (Exact address will be given to registered students).
Firearm Rentals: Please contact Joe at [email protected] for firearm rentals. Rentals cost $25 per day and include a firearm and holster.
Requirements:
- Must show proof of DD214 prior to the course start date.
- FOID Card. *You may participate without a FOID card, but you must contact Joe at [email protected] to be guided through the process.
DAY 1: Classroom Instruction and Written Exam

- Firearm Cleaning Materials
- Note-Taking Materials
- Wear an Undershirt and Belt
DAY 2: Classroom Instruction and Hands-On Training at the Gun Range
Required Items:
- Water
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Eye Protection
- Hearing Protection
- Personal Firearm
- Conceal Carry Holster
- Firearm Cleaning Materials
- 50 rounds of ammunition (40 required for qualification)
- Seats or stools- if you have them
*No ammunition will be allowed in the classroom, only at the gun range.
**Lunch will not be provided, so please plan to bring or buy lunch.
All students will be subject to having their items searched and firearms inspected at all times to ensure safety.
About the Instructor:
Joe Malone is a renowned Personal Safety Coach. As a 13-year Marine Corps veteran, he deployed 7 times in support of combative and humanitarian operations and served most notably under the Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC Raiders). He is a Board-Certified Protection Professional (CPP), NRA Basic Pistol, and IL firearms instructor. He is a Nationally Registered EMT and holds a Bachelor’s in Science in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Joe currently works providing both private and group Personal Safety Coaching Programs that teach people how to live fuller lives through living a disciplined lifestyle.
