State Representative Tim Ozinga (R – Mokena) is launching a “Valentines for Veterans” program. He invites students and other interested citizens to make handmade valentine greetings with well-wishes to our veterans who served our country with pride.
“Veterans have put their hearts and souls on the line for our country. A handmade valentine is a simple yet sweet way to acknowledge their sacrifice and express the place they hold in our hearts,” Rep. Ozinga said. “Let’s honor them on Valentine’s Day for loving our country and keeping us safe.”
All ages are encouraged to create a card or drawing. Valentines should be delivered to Rep. Ozinga’s office at 11019 Front St, Unit 1W in Mokena by February 4th. The cards will be delivered to 37th District veterans in time for Valentine’s Day.
